Stacey posted the photo on the Kmart Mums Facebook group and the response was 'overwhelming'.

'It was crazy, today I went on it and people are still commenting on it, it as up to 4,000 likes and hundreds of comments, I can't believe it,' Stacey told Celebrity Rave Australia.

'I wasn't expecting this at all, I wasn't even going to put it on the page, I thought “oh this is cute, I'll post it on my page” and then I thought “other people post things on Kmart pages, I'll give it a go”.'

The creation of the costume only took a couple of minutes as all Stacey had to do was cut holes at the bottom of each bottle holder so that Sonny's legs could go through

'I thought I might as well give it a go - my baby isn't little, he's quite chubby, I didn't think he would fit into it but I gave it a go and it came out better than I thought,' Stacey said

'He thought it was quite funny, as you can tell in the photos, but I don't know whether that's about the costume or the fact that I was dancing around acting like a clown to get a reaction out of him,' Stacey explained.

Stacey didn't make the costume for any particular occasion but she had a Christmas photo shoot with her first son at home and when she tried to do it with Sonny, he wasn't interested at the time.

'I thought that I would just take a couple snaps of him in this and it ended up as his own Christmas photo shoot,' she said.

As a mother of two boys, Stacey has found it difficult to buy costumes for sons.

'Let's be honest there's so much girl stuff out there and virtually nothing for boys so it worked out perfectly.'

'Looks like he's loving being Santa,' commented another.
