'Happy birdhday': The hilariously misspelled cakes that should have never left the shop (and 'congratulations' proves trickiest for bakers to get right)

  • Florida-based blog Cake Wrecks has published photos of hilarious cakes again
  • They all have messages that have been misspelled exceptionally badly
  • Even easy words like 'birthday' and 'congratulations' prove too hard for some

Cakes are an absolutely delicious way to celebrate a momentous occasion, especially when a thoughtful message has been piped on top.

But icing doesn't come with a spellcheck, unfortunately for these bakers.

A series of hilarious photos on Florida-based blog Cake Wrecks show off the worst misspelled messages that have ever been piped onto cakes at supermarkets and bakeries.

And the words are far from hard to spell, with terms like 'mother,' 'father,' 'congratulations' and even 'birthday' being written incorrectly time and time again.

It's a tweet! The message on Felix's cake misspelled the crucial word 'birthday', and somehow the word 'bird' was formed instead
